About Amina Aminu Dorayi

Dr. Amina Aminu Dorayi is the Family Planning Technical Director for the SHOPS Plus project in Nigeria. She is a physician and public health professional with more than 14 years’ experience in the development and implementation of programs focused on reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health and health systems strengthening interventions. Prior to working on the SHOPS Plus project, Aminu was the Associate Deputy National Program Manager and Director of Service Delivery on the DFID funded £148million Partnership for Transforming Health Systems (PATHS2) project, which focused on improving maternal and child health outcomes in Nigeria. She provided overall leadership and strategic direction for service delivery, community mobilization, and gender equality that improved health outcomes, saved lives in project states, and made substantial contributions to the technical and management decision making of the project. Aminu holds a bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery degree from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria and a master of public health degree from the University of Liverpool, UK.
