About Isseu Diop Touré

Dr. Isseu Diop Touré is the Chief of Party for the SHOPS Plus project in Senegal. She is a medical doctor and expert in reproductive health and maternal and child health with 30 years of experience working with both the public and private health sectors in Senegal. Isseu began her career as a Médecin-Chef de District Sanitaire in Senegal then was promoted to Médecin-Chef Adjoint in the Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health divisions. Isseu also served as the World Health Organization’s Technical Advisor in Reproductive and Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health in Senegal, where she liaised closely with donors and public and private sector counterparts, including local NGOs and faith-based organizations. She oversaw three USAID-funded projects managing partner coordination with 11 local and national NGOs as well stakeholders and counterparts in the Ministry of Health. Isseu served as a member of the Millennium Development Goal Committee for Senegal.
