About Lauren Hartel

Lauren Hartel is a County Program Manager on the SHOPS Plus project supporting India. She is a health systems professional with seven years of experience in global health and international development, and has experience working on the USAID-funded Health Finance and Governance project in the areas of health insurance, cost-effectiveness, HIV programming, and supply chain costing. Prior to Abt, Hartel worked in the Office of Population and Reproductive Health at USAID and did domestic healthcare consulting at Huron Consulting Group. She holds master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver.
